This system uses PVC tubing and fittings and is designed to be inverted when it is not raining to keep debris from finding its way into the water supply. After two substantial downpours it seems to work quite well. The 400 gallon tank will be installed in the next week to gather water for the construction of larger Ferro Cement water tanks in the basement. These tanks will be used to store rainwater collected from the larger sections of the roof as well as grey water from the kitchen and bathroom sinks.
